Grass Valley, CA, March 30, 2026 — The Nevada County Democratic Central Committee is proud to announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its new headquarters in Grass Valley, marking an exciting new chapter in community engagement, voter outreach, and local organizing.

The new office, located at 1200 E. Main Street, Suite C, will officially open its doors to the public with a celebratory event on April 12 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Community members, supporters, and families are invited to attend this FREE event, featuring live music, food trucks, games, children’s activities, and special guest speakers. Donations for game tickets can be found at this link: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/demgrandopening-26

Confirmed special guests include Hilary Hodge, Mayor of Grass Valley; Chris Bennett, Congressional Candidate, District 3; Adam Kline, Mayor of Nevada City; Micayla Sortland, Nevada City City Council.

The new headquarters is already serving as a central hub for Democratic organizing in Nevada County—volunteer sign-ups, voter education, candidate engagement, and grassroots activism. County Democratic committees, all volunteers, play a vital role in registering voters, engaging communities, and supporting candidates at all levels of government.

“This new space represents our commitment to building a stronger, more connected community,” said Steve Hurley, Chair, NCDCC. “It will be a place where people can come together, get involved, and take action on the issues that matter most to Nevada County.”

During headquarters office hours (M-F, 12 – 3PM), volunteer opportunities, and community programming empower residents and strengthen civic participation. The new location reflects the organization’s continued growth and dedication to expanding its impact throughout the region.

Grass Valley, a historic and vibrant community in Nevada County, provides an ideal setting for this expanded presence, helping to connect residents with candidates and local, state, and national issues.
