NEVADA CITY, Calif. November 7, 2018 – Hilary Hodge and Ben Aguilar emerged as the two front-runners in the Grass Valley City Council race.

With four candidates on the ballot vying for two seats, the first results of the night were a clear indication of the voters’ choice. Hodge lead the absentee/vote-by-mail tally with 1,384 votes, closely followed by Aguilar with 1,276 votes.

Bob Branstrom came in third with 868 votes and Steven Slack, who withdrew from the race, collected 387 votes.

At the end of the evening, Hodge remained in the lead with 1,561 votes (35.66%) followed by Aguilar with 1,401 votes (32.00%).

1,834 undervotes and 5 overvotes were recorded in the race.
