GRASS VALLEY, Calif. January 9, 2017 – You can become the person you want to be in 2017 with Prism Nutrition and Lifestyle. A new session of this free weight-loss program starts at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley.

Prism can help you stop the cycle of yo-yo diets, and you’ll never be asked to weigh yourself in front of others. Instead, participants keep journals of their eating and other activities, forming good new habits that lead to achieving their right weight.

Here’s an excerpt from the Prism workbook: “Positive attitudes and actions indicate that you are working through the parts of yourself you see as unhealthy and unproductive.” Work in the Prism program starts with a personal evaluation that promotes food planning and encourages loving self-discipline.

Every week, participants meet to support each other and learn more about nutrition and healthy living. Personal evaluation continues weekly as they struggle through roadblocks and celebrate victories. Their destination is transformation, from the inside out.

It takes time to change habits and tastes. So, this program is organized in four phases of six sessions each, supporting participants as they learn a new nutritional lifestyle. Phases may be repeated. Participants may offer a donation to cover the cost of materials.
