Nevada City, CA – Step into an evening that evokes the charm of a bygone era with old timey jazz in a cabaret style combined with holiday pop classics in the beautiful Stone Hall at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The special holiday event, Martinis & Mistletoe, is a return to a vintage classic Christmas led by cherished local talent Tamara Fouyer and her band, accompanied by local favorites Michelle Amador and Karen Woerner on harmonies.
Doors and bar open at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m. The Miners Foundry offers a no host full bar featuring specialty martinis, appetizers and sweet treats.
First started in 2018, Martinis & Mistletoe is more than a concert—it’s a cherished tradition at the Miners Foundry, where history and community come together.
“Now we’re doing it again in the same feel as the original show. It’s festive and the martinis are fun. People get in the mood, they get into the holiday spirit,” said Fouyer.
Fouyer is trained in classical voice and piano and her repertoire spans classical opera, Broadway and jazz, enriched by her college experience in Spain. She has performed with local acts such as Lorraine Gervais, Swingtime Jazz Combo, Dream and the Dreamer and Cabernet Duo.
Some of the finest jazz instrumentalists in Nevada County will come together to deliver a polished and vibrant performance. They include Alan Feeney (piano), Joe Carlson (bass), David Clausse (drums), Matt Langley (sax) and John DeBoer (trumpet).
The evening will feature music from the WWII era, including beloved swing and jazz standards by the Andrews Sisters, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald and more. Contemporary songs with a vintage feel will round out the evening and create a heartwarming atmosphere. Those who love swing dancing are encouraged to join in the fun. A lively second set will be filled with danceable boogie-woogie tunes.
“The music brings listeners back in time a little bit and creates a warm feeling. I like the camaraderie and the connection I feel with the audience. That vintage vibe takes people to a happy time,” said Fouyer.
Set in the historic Stone Hall, with its rich, storied walls and welcoming atmosphere, the Foundry provides the perfect setting for reconnecting with old friends, making new ones and celebrating the season in the heart of Nevada City’s cultural legacy.
