Nevada City, Calif. — August 21, 2025 – The City of Nevada City invites community members to attend the August 27, 2025, City Council meeting to hear presentations from all the responses to the City’s Request for Information (RFI) for Alcohol, Kitchen, and Café Services Concession at the Foundry.

The City received six proposals, and we asked each proposer to come present the key elements of their proposal. Each proposer will have up to 5 minutes to present their partnership vision, followed by possible Q&A from the City Council. Although the Council will not make a selection from the proposers, their presentations will help inform the City Council’s direction for a future bid process to award concession contracts.
Additional Community Input Welcomed
In addition, it’s also an opportunity for anyone in the community to provide input on the future operations of the Miners Foundry before the Council provides direction to staff on future procurement processes.
“As we transition the Miners Foundry to municipal management, community input is essential,” said Assistant City Manager Lon Peterson. “We want to hear from business owners and community members about their vision for food and beverage services while supporting the facility’s long- term financial sustainability.”
