Nevada City, CA — Nevada City School of the Arts (NCSA) is pleased to announce the launch of its new Independent Study at Home Program, created to support families seeking a flexible, creative, and community-centered educational option for their students.

Rooted in NCSA’s long-standing commitment to arts-integrated education, the Independent Study at Home Program offers students enriching academic instruction alongside visual arts, music, movement, and hands-on, project-based learning. Designed to complement home education, the program provides curriculum, structure, inspiration, and meaningful social connection within a supportive school environment.

The Independent Study at Home Program was developed in response to families who value both academic rigor and creative expression. It honors individuality, nurtures curiosity, and keeps the arts at the heart of learning.

The program will offer 24 spots for students in grades K–3 and 24 spots for students in grades 4–8. Enrollment in the Homeschool Program is separate from NCSA’s main program.

Enrollment for the Independent Study at Home Program and the Classroom-Based program is now open.
