Nevada City, Calif. — The City of Nevada City announced today that two skateboard park design firms have been selected as semi-finalists for the Nevada City Community Skatepark Project. Grindline Skateparks and Spohn Ranch Skateparks will present to the City’s Community Services Committee at a public meeting on August 5, 2025.
The public is invited to attend the presentations and can provide public comment on the item. Note: The firm’s presentations are a part of the City’s evaluation process in the final selection; however, the skatepark design concepts are just that a concept – not the final design. Public feedback will be collected in future public engagement efforts and will influence the skatepark design to be built.
“Community engagement and feedback is central to this project,” said Assistant City Manager Lon Peterson. “We want to ensure the final design reflects the needs and desires of Nevada City residents while creating a distinctive recreational asset for our community.”
Public Meeting Details:
- Date: Tuesday, August 5, 2025
