April 14, 2020 – The Nevada County Board of Supervisors heard updates on the local COVID-19 situation. Sierra Nevada Hospital CEO Dr. Brian Evans provided an update on SNMH’s status, saying the hospital had the necessary equipment to handle current and most futre cases, based on the most recent modeling. Nevada County Public Health officials had some good news regarding the 34 positive cases in Nevada County, only 8 are still being monitored by Communicable Disease Nurses. Approximately 908 tests have been performed for Nevada County residents at this time.
