NEVADA CITY, Calif. August 22, 2019 – The Insurance Town Hall with the California Department of Insurance, Commissioner Ricardo Lara and Nevada County, will be held today, starting at 6:00 pm at the Foothills Event Center, 400 Idaho-Maryland Road in Grass Valley.
Introductory remarks by Grass Valley Mayor Lisa Swarthout and Nevada County Supervisor Dan Miller, followed by a keynote presentation by CA Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara. Following his presentation, a moderated Q&A will follow.
Due to the anticipated large interest, here are a few ways to watch/listen and participate.

At the event, members of the public will be able to submit questions to the California Department of Insurance for further follow up from department staff.

KVMR 89.5 FM will broadcast the event live, on KVMR 89.5 FM and The Bridge at 105.7 FM.
Nevada County will host overflow attendees to watch the presentations live in the Board Chambers at the Eric Rood Center in Nevada City. Question cards will be available to be submitted to the California Department of Insurance. Nevada County will be live streaming the presentations on their Facebook pages at Nevada County Office of Emergency Services and County of Nevada, CA, and the local cable channel 18. Archived footage of the event will be available on our ReadyNevadaCounty.org website within a few days.
