September 7, 2018 – Nevada County authors are invited to apply for the Nevada County Community Library’s first Local Author Showcase, to be held on Saturday, October 20th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Gene Albaugh Community Room at the Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City.
The goal of the event is to highlight the talented and creative writers in our county and provide a forum for authors to connect with each other and with their reading audience. Recognizing the diversity of publishing today, all book formats are acceptable: traditionally published, self-published, and e-books. Participating authors are invited to sign and sell copies of their work at the event.
Apply by Sunday, September 23rd, online or at your local Nevada County Community Library branch.
To apply, click on “EVENTS” on the Library’s homepage and then click on the link to LOCAL AUTHOR SHOWCASE APPLICATION. Paper applications will also be available at all branches of the Nevada County Community Library after Monday, September 10th. Applications must be submitted no later than Sunday, September 23, 2018.
There will be no registration fee for authors and no entrance fee for attendees. Due to space restrictions, acceptance of all applicants is not guaranteed, but every effort will be made to include as many authors as possible.
