The engine strike team is composed of firefighters from Peardale Chicago Park Fire, Higgins Fire, North San Juan Fire, Ophir Hill Fire and Nevada County Consolidated Fire Districts. Grass Valley Fire sent a strike team leader trainee with the team.

Yesterday morning, crews received food, supplies and an operational briefing. After that, crews headed out to the fire line and brushed roads in the area.
