On July 19th around 5:30 PM a request was issued for an immediate need Charlie Strike Team to the #LehiFire in the Newcastle area. Units were told to form up at the incident and start structure protection.
Departments who were part of Nevada County 4104C Strike Team: Peardale Chicago Park Fire, Grass Valley Fire, Nevada County Consolidated Fire, Higgins Fire and North San Juan Fire.
Strike Team leader was Jon Pitts from Penn Valley Fire. Crews assisted with structure protection, salvage, overhaul and mop up.
The strike team was released at midnight back to Nevada County.
