REDDING, Calif. June 28, 2018 – A Nevada County strike team has been fighting the Creek Fire west of Redding. As of this morning, the fire has burned 1,475 acres and is now 75% contained. Peardale-Chicago Park Fire Department PIO Daniel Ramey, who is assigned to a Nevada City engine, shared the photos below.

The Nevada County strike team is composed of Ophir Hill, Rough&Ready, Nevada City, Higgins and Nevada County Consolidated engines. According to Ramey, the local team “went direct on the fire, laying hose and  working with the air tankers, helicopters and hand crews” assigned to the fire.
