February 9, 2021 – A Washington State-based development company, Harbor Custom Development, Inc. recently announced the purchase of 36 out of 66 lots in the Darkhorse development in Nevada County.

The company anticipates commencing construction of 4 and 5 bedroom luxury homes priced from $900,000 to $1,200,000 beginning in the second quarter of 2021.  

According to a news release, “I am very pleased with our team’s rapid execution on closing of the initial 36 Darkhorse lots.  Establishing a presence in the Sacramento metro marketplace is a major milestone for the Company.  Urban flight from the Bay Area and Silicon Valley to the less populated bedroom communities like Auburn provides for a steady stream of move up and luxury buyers,” stated Sterling Griffin, President and CEO of Harbor Custom Homes.

Their plan is to acquire 64 developed lots for a total of $9,143,700. The initial 36 parcels were acquired for $4,900,000.
