Grass Valley May 19, 2017 – NID presents the 4th annual Kids Triathlon on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Orchard Springs Campground on Rollins Lake. NID is committed to providing outstanding outdoor recreational opportunities at District reservoirs, and the triathlon allows youth and families in our community to enjoy the Sierras while connecting through fitness and fun.
The event begins at 8:00 am and is open to kids aged 6-15 years. Race packets will be available from 7:00 am to 7:45 am.
- Ages 6-10 years will swim 50 meters, bike 4 miles, and run 1 mile
- Ages 11-15 years will swim 150 meters, bike 4 miles, and run 1 mile
The entry fee is $40 and registration is required prior to the day of the race. A portion of the fees collected will go toward the Bierwagen Interpretive Site Project at the Orchard Springs Campground.
