GRASS VALLEY, Calif. November 3, 2016 – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists to anticipate traffic delays Thursday and Friday, November 3 & 4, and Monday, November 7 on Highway 174 near Grass Valley between North Meadow Drive and You Bet Road as Caltrans assists PG&E with traffic controls for Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) tree removal work.

Motorists should anticipate daytime delays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday as one way traffic controls are set up for the one-mile lane closure. The tree removal activities are not associated with a Caltrans project or Caltrans maintenance work. Because of the roadway curves in the work area, PG&E has asked Caltrans for assistance with traffic control.

Motorists are advised to plan for additional travel time and prepare for delays. Weather or unexpected events may prolong the work.
