Grass Valley, CA — The local Redbud Chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) will be holding their Spring plant sale on Saturday, April 11th.

Plants for Where YOU Live

Almost all the plants that will be available are locally native. These are plants that are well adapted to Placer and Nevada County landscapes, and will provide habitat for local pollinators, birds, and wildlife. This sale will feature plants that are well suited to Spring planting, including riparian species that welcome year-round water so you can keep those newly planted natives watered through the dry summer months.

Just a few of the locally native plants you’ll find at our spring plant sale are crevice alumroot (Heuchera macrantha), azure penstemon (Penstemon azureus) and Hartweg’s iris (Iris humboldtii).

Tips for Buying Plants During the Sale

  • To help you plan the plants you want, Redbud will post a plant sale list on Redbud’s plant sale page before the sale.
  • Calscape, a CNPS website, includes lots of information and photos for each native plant species, and will help you decide which plants on the list will be suitable for your landscape.
  • You will need to pay for your plants via credit card at the time of sale and select a pick-up time.
