Nevada City, CA – Sierra Stages and Sierra Theatre Company are proud to announce their collaborative production of Trio!, a delightful circus-fairytale mash-up performance that promises to entertain audiences of all ages. The production will run July 25-27 at the historic Nevada Theatre.
Trio! is a fast-paced, one-act kid’s show that blends storybook classics into an exciting circus-themed adventure. The Three Bears, The Three Pigs, and The Three Goats Gruff get a swizzled up circus treatment with the help of three energetic ringmasters and a few silly clowns. This unique theatrical experience transforms familiar childhood tales into a spectacular circus extravaganza!
“Trio! is ridiculously fun!” says director Paulette Gilbert. “And these kids are working hard to put together a show that is fast-paced and professional. I am blown away by their talent and dedication, and I know our audiences will feel the same way.”

Tickets: $10 (kids under 15) – $15 adults (16 and over)
There will be a pay-what-you-can performance on Friday, July 25 at 2pm, with tickets available at the door starting at 1:00pm. Seating for all shows is general admission, with doors opening 30 minutes before each performance.
Trio! is directed by Paulette Gilbert, who brings nearly 30 years of experience working with children as a teacher, actor, and director. She will lead four sessions of Spotlight Players theatre camps in August! Kids ages 4-8 will have a blast in Dramatic Adventures, where books and creative play meet the world of theatre. Those ages 8-15 will thrive in Acting Fundamentals, as they explore and cultivate their acting tools and techniques!
