Nevada City, CA — Sierra Stages is thrilled to announce open auditions for Sense & Sensibility, a delightful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel by renowned playwright Kate Hamill. The play will be directed by Scott Gilbert and plays from March 6 – March 29, 2025 at the historic Nevada Theatre in Nevada City.
Called the “greatest stage adaptation of this novel in history,” this rollicking, ingeniously staged adaptation follows the adventures (and misadventures) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their sudden loss of fortune. Bursting with humor, emotion, and bold theatricality, “Sense & Sensibility” promises to be fun, enlightening, and entertaining for the cast and audience alike!
There are two opportunities to audition: Tuesday, December 11 and Wednesday, December 12, from 6pm. to 8pm. All roles are open and we are seeking actors of all ages and diversities! (Think Bridgerton.)
