Unhealthy to hazardous air quality again to start the day with smoke from six large fires in Northern California blanketing much of the state. Conditions will improve throughout the day, before smoke returns overnight.

Adding to the hazardous conditions is a Red Flag Warning for the Sierra and Foothills. Critical fire weather conditions are forecast from 11 am Monday through 11pm Tuesday.

This is an experimental smoke forecast model and may not be available at all times.  It is also NOT an official air quality forecast.  The official Air Quality forecast for California can be found here:  AirNow (fire.airnow.gov)
