This morning, just after 7:00am, the Nevada County Regional Dispatch Center received a call for a subject down near the temporary skateboard park within Condon Park; 660 Minnie Street, Grass Valley.
Officers arrived at the scene within minutes of the initial call and discovered a deceased Caucasian male adult believed to be in his 30’s. The identity of the deceased is still being determined and will be releasable after notification is made to next of kin.
Currently the manner of death in this case is unknown. The Grass Valley Police Department has requested the assistance of the FBI Evidence Response Team to collect key articles of interest, and have been joined on scene by Investigators from the Nevada County District Attorney’s Office. The impacted area of Condon park is heavily utilized by the public and will remain closed until we are confident all pertinent evidence or property has been collected.
