The Center for the Arts is proud to welcome The Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Baliardo on March 18, 2026. The chart-topping, internationally beloved group’s modern flamenco sound has captivated audiences for more than four decades. With 25 million albums sold and global hits like “Bamboléo” and “Djobi Djoba,” the Gipsy Kings remain one of the most electrifying live acts in the world.

At the helm is Tonino Baliardo, founder, guitarist, and keeper of the group’s rich flamenco heritage. A lifelong musician mentored by his uncle, flamenco legend Manitas de Plata, Tonino continues to lead the group alongside his sons, Cosso and Mikeal.

The Gipsy Kings’ latest album, Historia, celebrates their roots while exploring new sonic territory. The record returns to the rhythmic heartbeat of Catalan rumba and flamenco while branching into fresh influences like reggae, pop, and soulful balladry. A documentary chronicling Tonino’s 35 years as a touring bandleader is set to premiere on Amazon Prime in 2026.

With a legacy that includes iconic film placements like their flamenco-driven “Hotel California” in The Big Lebowski and “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” for Toy Story 3 The Gipsy Kings continue to bridge cultures, generations, and genres, bringing traditional flamenco into the global spotlight.

Gipsy Kings Historia Tour

“Flamenco and Catalan rumba are woven into our identity—and that spirit continues with the next generation.” says Baliardo.

Please join us in the Marisa Funk Theater on March 18, 2026 to dance the night away with The Gipsy Kings with Tonino Baliardo.
