Throughout the day, music will be heard across the hospital.

“Music has long been recognized for its therapeutic benefits. Patients, caregivers, and staff alike will experience the healing effects of music across various departments within the hospital.”

Studies have shown that music therapy can reduce stress, alleviate pain, improve mood, and enhance overall well-being. By partnering with local musicians and musical groups, the hospital aims to create a supportive and uplifting environment for everyone within its walls.

“We are excited to celebrate World Music Therapy Day by embracing the transformative impact of music on health and healing,” said Brian Stoltey, Director of Mission Integration at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. “Through our collaborations with talented musicians in the community, we are enhancing the healing journey of our patients and fostering a culture of wellness within our hospital.”
