Nevada City, Calif. — On September 9, 2024, the City of Nevada City Economic & Community Development Committee met and called for an October 21, 2024, Community Workshop on the Impacts of and Opportunities to Improve Section 17.72.080 of the Nevada City Municipal Code with Regard to Hosted Short-Term Rentals.
The current ordinance was the result of the City Council adopting a voter initiative on November 18, 2015. The impacts and opportunities related to short-term rentals have changed dramatically over time and the city seeks to determine how the ordinance might be improved to meet the needs of the community in 2024 and into the future.
The Committee meeting is scheduled for 6:00pm Monday October 21, 2024, at City Hall 317 Broad Street, Nevada City, California 95959. The Committee will receive a presentation on the current ordinance including impacts and opportunities and will ask for comments and input from all interested parties before considering any recommendation for future consideration of the City Council.
The agenda and packet for the Committee meeting will be posted October 18, 2024, on the City’s website at: https://www.nevadacityca.gov/agendacenter and will be available at City Hall for review.
