Back by popular demand, Henry Goodman and Susan Jakubik are again presenting their photos and paintings at the Flour Garden Bakery on Sutton Way in Grass Valley from December 2 – January 30, 2025.

This colorful exhibition combines Jakubik’s delicate paintings and drawings with Goodman’s dramatic photos of rivers, lakes and forests throughout the United States. Twenty works of art combine photographic precision and artistic finesse illustrating the many moods of nature.
An Artist Reception will be held on Friday, December 6 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served and the artists will be available to discuss their work. All are invited to share in the celebration of nature and the arts.
Jakubik’s artwork is inspired by her lifelong love of birds and nature. She draws and paints in a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, and mixed media.
For Goodman, photography and wilderness have been a passion for over 50 years. The exhibit includes photographs of the Yuba River, as well as other locations in the Sierra Nevada, the redwoods, and autumn in New England. “We hope to share a sense of wonder and appreciation for the beauty of nature: the feeling of walking on soft paths in the redwoods with streams of evening sunlight casting rays through the massive trees,” said Goodman, an award winning photographer.
