The Nevada County Board of Supervisors considered a draft ordinance for RV Dwelling use on March 10, 2026, and provided direction to staff to make amendments to the draft ordinance including:

  • Create an income restriction limit for qualifying RV use
  • Reformat the ordinance into existing ordinance section addressing RV uses
  • Remove 3-acre minimum parcel size for eligible parcels for RV use
  • Allow RV Dwellings to be rented for a period of 30 days or longer

The Nevada County Planning Department has prepared a draft ordinance based on this direction for review and consideration.
