The Oddfellows Seven Stars Gallery Youth Arts Program is pleased to be presenting our second annual all-youth art show — “Through the Eyes of Our Youth”. This year’s exhibit will feature the works of 16 young artists, from age 8 to 21.
The gallery will welcome new works by returning artists Zephyr Kitchens, Tavia Whitestone, Abby Turner, Samuel McDaniel-Heath and Chiara Holland. New to our gallery will be Grant Brayley LeStarpe, Maddy & Sophia Greenwood-Price, Katherine Coleman, Mandolin Mitchell, Jasper Hitchcock, Talon McMaster, Iris Dietz, Fiona Moran, Andrew Gardner-Morales and Bryce Hyatt. The gallery’s walls will be hung with a wide variety of art styles: fine pen and ink works, portraits, figure drawings, fashion sketches, hyper-realistic colored pencil drawings, abstract paintings and sculptural pieces. This is a show not to be missed!
This year, the Youth Arts Program hosted a presentation workshop for the young artists, to give them the opportunity to have the assistance of professionals to help them mat and frame their art. This well-attended workshop was made possible by the generosity of the Nevada City Oddfellows.
The show will hang through August 30. The opening reception will be on Thursday, August 7, from 6 to 8 pm. Come out and meet the artists, and show your support!
