Grass Valley, CA—The Rotary Club of Grass Valley announces their annual Casino Night event on Saturday February 7, 2025. The event is held at the Nevada County Fairgrounds main hall and tickets are $20 at www.gvrotary.org.
This year the Casino Night theme is Through the Looking Glass, paying homage to Alice in Wonderland. The club encourages those who wish to dress to the theme for a costume contest. The event includes classic casino games like blackjack, craps, and Texas hold’em as well as some other exciting games like the popular Wheel of Bacon and Chuck-A-Luck.
Dom and Mom, Kris and Dom Stephanian, are a highlight of the event. The singer, guitar duo are known for performing classic rock, blues, and country. Dom is a professional guitarist who has toured nationally, while Kris is a classically trained vocalist with a background in musical theater. They cover a wide range of genres, including tunes from Bob Dylan, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, and Eric Clapton.
“Casino Night is a fun and easy way to give back to the community with cool raffle prizes and an incredible silent auction,” said Sandra Barrington, event organizer from the Rotary Club of Grass Valley. “This event is an important fundraiser for our club as it helps us help the community through donations to nonprofit projects and programs, and youth leadership programs that we support.”
Recently the Rotary Club of Grass Valley provided support to Women of Worth, The Salvation Army, Wreath Across America, and community gardens. The club has worked on a beautification project on the Litton Trail. Youth services and youth leadership is an important avenue of service for Rotary. The club supports Lyman Gilmore students, Chicago Park . The club is also a supporter of Bright Futures for Youth and the NEO Youth Center.
