Tahoe City, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2026) – The Tahoe Literary Festival returns October 9-11, bringing together more than 60 authors, poets, journalists, musicians and literary professionals for three days of conversations, workshops, panel discussions, performances and community events.
À la carte tickets are now available, giving attendees more ways to experience the festival. Saturday sessions are $15 each or $30 for two, while a $65 all-day pass offers a full day of author conversations, panels, generative workshops and literary programs designed to inspire creativity and sharpen your craft.
Featured authors include Obi Kaufmann, Grant Faulkner, Suzanne Roberts, Lee Herrick, Sands Hall and two time “Survivor” winner Parvati Shallow and many more who bring their experience to this year’s festival.
Writers can attend a half-day writing retreat led by acclaimed authors Lee Herrick, Grant Faulkner and Suzanne Roberts. Sessions in poetry, fiction and nonfiction offer writers the opportunity to develop a work in progress, begin something new and learn from accomplished authors.
Several events are free and open to the community. Friday, October 9, kicks off the weekend at Tahoe Wine Collective with music by Winter Grain, featured readings and a community Open Mic. On Saturday, October 10 the festival also features a Book Fair and Author Meet & Greet with more than 30 authors selling and signing their books. Will Richardson hosts a free Singer-Songwriter Showcase featuring Ann Marie Sheridan, Winter Grain and Brian Laidlaw at 6 p.m.
Volunteers are needed and receive a complimentary ticket to attend.

The Tahoe Literary Festival brings writers and readers together, supports emerging and established authors, and expands access to literary arts programming in the Tahoe-Truckee region.
