Nevada City, CA — Young voters and community members are invited to attend a Nevada City City Council Young Voters’ Candidate Forum on Thursday, May 28, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sans Backup Plan Records, located at 748 Zion Street, Suite A, Nevada City.
The forum will give residents—especially younger voters—an opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for Nevada City City Council. Attendees will be able to learn more about each candidate’s priorities, vision for the city, and positions on issues that matter to the community.
This event is being promoted as a last chance to hear from candidates before voters make their decisions. The forum is designed to encourage civic engagement, increase voter awareness, and create a welcoming space for younger residents to participate in local democracy.
Local elections have a direct impact on housing, small businesses, public safety, arts and culture, infrastructure, environmental priorities, and the future character of Nevada City. Organizers encourage all voters (but particularly younger ones) to attend, listen, ask questions, and become more informed before casting their ballots.
All candidates have been invited, of which two will attend with a third having declined.
