For the 24-hr. period ending at 6:00 am Friday, BLM LC detected 5 strikes within the Tahoe National Forest, all in the for Sierraville Ranger District.
A total of 2,888 strikes were detected within the state, with 43 strikes within national forests.
According to the National Weather Service in Sacramento, the low that brought the clouds and isolated showers/thunderstorms the past few days is slowly drifting to the east into the Great Basin. Other than some remnant clouds from Thursday’s convection over eastern Shasta County, skies are clear across interior NorCal early this morning.
