SACRAMENTO March 16, 2017 – Attorney General Xavier Becerra issued the following statement in response to a federal District Court ruling in Hawaiʿi that halted the revised Trump Muslim travel ban before it could go into effect:
“There is no room for intolerance in our Constitution. Yesterday’s court ruling affirms that.
A lot of work lies ahead to permanently bury the Trump Administration’s unconstitutional overreach. But we must take a moment to thank Hawaiʿi Attorney General Doug Chin and his team for stepping to the plate to protect our Constitution and our way of life.”
