Sacramento, Calif. โ California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., issued the following statement following a federal court injunction blocking new U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mail ballot requirements ahead of the November 3 General Election:
โToday we celebrate another win for California voters. We are pleased to hear of the courtโs decision to block the Trump Administrationโs attempt at implementing unlawful changes by way of the United States Post Office (USPS). While the preliminary injunction is an important victory for California voters and election officials, this fight is far from over,” said Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., California Secretary of State. “My office is working around the clock to ensure all eligible voters in California can cast their ballots this November and beyond. Voting is a fundamental right – California will continue to defend it.โ
