Sacramento, Calif. – The California Office of the Secretary of State has announced that voting locations are open across all of California’s 58 counties and encourage individuals to vote as soon as possible.
Voters in every California county now have the option to vote in person. California law requires traditional polling place counties to provide at least one early voting location on the Saturday before any statewide election and for those locations to be open for at least six hours.
California voters can also return their voted ballots by dropping them off a secure drop box, polling location, vote center, or through the United States Post Office.
Important USPS Note: Considering recent changes to postal service operations, voters are reminded that ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received no later than seven calendar days after Election Day to be counted. To help ensure their ballots meet these deadlines, the Office strongly recommends that voters who choose to mail their ballots visit a USPS location in-person to have their ballot return envelopes hand-stamped.
Voters can find more information about where they can return their voted ballot or vote in person on the SOS website and can track their ballot by signing up for Where’s My Ballot? For additional information about the upcoming election, visit vote.ca.gov or contact a county elections office.
