CA State Parks pays no attention to thousands of vehicle that drive in the surf and on the shoreline crushing now what appears to be a re-emergence of the iconic Pismo Clam. Large and small Pismo clams are crushed to the delight of drivers who appear to love the popping sound. Fish & Wildlife also looks the other way and goes after poachers with fines of $100 per clam. No fines for OHV & no protection for those clams emerging miles of beach south of the Grand Ave. entrance.
