Firefighters continue to strengthen perimeter control lines, provide structure defense and engage in tactical patrol. As some residents are allowed to return to their homes, please drive carefully as emergency personnel are still working throughout the fire area. On 10/17/2017 at 4:00 PM, The Mandatory Evacuation Order were lifted for the following areas.
• All of Green Valley Road from Wild Horse Valley Road

On 10/17/2017 at 5:00 PM, The Mandatory Evacuation Order were lifted for the following areas.
• All of Partrick Road, West of Browns Valley Road.

Be aware that traffic interruptions may exist due to fire and utilities equipment working in the area. Some homes may not have utilities, including electric and gas. A Red Flag Warning, due to high winds and low humidity, will remain in effect throughout much of today. The Southern LNU Complex is being managed in Unified Command by CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 3 and the Napa County Sheriff’s Department. The complex is made of the Atlas, Nuns and Partrick Fires. All three fires experienced fire growth as a result of anticipated wind conditions. Forecasts include a change in wind speed and direction in the days to come. A Red Flag Warning continues to exist over the fire area. Firefighters continue to take suppressive action and additional resources from across the state are enroute to provide assistance

CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 3 has assumed Command of the Nuns and Partrick Fires, along with the Atlas Fire. These incidents have been combined as the Southern LNU Complex. These fires continue to burn in steep rugged terrain and heavy fuels. Currently winds are out of the Southwest. Weather forecasts predict winds to shift and come from the North in the coming days. Firefighters are strengthening control lines in preparation for this shift.
