HWY 140 from Mariposa to Yosemite National Park is now open with no restrictions. Fire equipment remains in the area, please drive with caution.
Minimal fire activity was reported Today. Firefighters will continue construction of containment lines and mop-up of at least 200 feet as well as suppression repair activities. Smoke will be visible within the fires perimeter for potentially several weeks and is not a concern as firefighters will be actively patrolling the area.

All Mandatory Evacuation Orders & Fire advisements will be lifted today Friday October 11, 2019 at 1pm..
Due to the large amount of Fire suppression equipment in the area, speed control will be enforced.

Crews worked diligently overnight to reinforce and monitor containment lines with minimal fire activity. Today Crews will begin mop up operations 200’ in from established containment lines. Firefighters worked through the night on firing operations to remove fuels between the constructed containment lines and the main body of the fire. CAL FIRE along with the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a community meeting tonight, Tuesday October 8th at 7pm. The meeting will be held at the Midpines Fire Station #21 located at 6362 Highway 140 in Midpines.

A Fire Advisement has been issued for the following areas: Colorado Rd from Hwy 140 to Davis Rd. All of Davis Rd. Hwy 140 from Colorado Rd to the Midpines Market. Ponderosa Way including all side roads: Deer Park, Leichtlin Ln and Feliciana Mtn Rd. This is a Fire Advisement only, to inform you of a fire in the area. Should conditions change you may be asked to evacuate immediately.

A Mandatory Evacuation Order has been issued for the following areas: Both sides of Highway 140 from the Octagon to Buffalo Gulch Rd. This includes the Bug Hostel area and all of Buffalo Gulch Road.
A Red Cross Evacuation Center has been established at the New Life Christian Church located at 5089 Cole Rd.
