Dobe, Modoc NF. Eight miles south of Newell, CA. Timber, brush and tall grass. Minimal fire behavior with
short-range spotting.

A morning smoke inversion may cause travel constraints through the fire area. Reduced fire behavior was seen overnight. A Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low humidity has been issued for today with a chance of lightning tonight and tomorrow.
The fire remains under local management. CALFIRE and Basin Ambulance are assisting along with volunteer fire departments including Adin, Cal Pines and Tulelake.
Two medium helicopters are working the incident today with water drops. Phone line crews will begin repairs today.
The cause of this fire is under investigation.
