Fiddler, Shasta-Trinity Unit. Nine miles northeast of Platina, CA. Brush and tall grass. Minimal fire behavior. Arson-caused fire.

Fighfigters continue to strengthen containment lines, mop up and patrol the fire. Fire suppression repair has begun. Please exercise caution when driving in the fire area and be aware of emergency personnel and equipment

Fighfigters made excellent progress today working towards full containment. There were 10 additional acres burned due to heavy winds over the fire. Crews will remain on the fire throughout the night and will continue with mop up operations until full containment is achieved. All evacuations have been lifted.

Firefighters continued overnight to aggressively fight the fire. Fire crews will continue to construct and strengthen fire lines throughout the day. Today’s weather will bring cooler temperatures aiding in the suppression efforts.
Cooperating Agencies: Redding Fire Department, Shasta County Fire Department, Shasta County Public Works, Shasta County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol.
