Overnight firefighters worked to strengthen and increase containment lines as well as mop up and patrol. Fire suppression repair has begun. Exercise extreme caution when traveling in the fire area. Please drive slowly and yield to emergency personnel working near roads. There may still be smoke visible as firefighters continue operations.

Firefighters continue working in the steep and difficult terrain to increase and strengthen containment line. In other areas crews mop and patrol and fire suppression has begun. SR 299E has opened to traffic. Travelers are asked to drive slowly and yield to emergency personnel in the area. There may still be smoke in respective areas as firefighters continue operations. If at any time you feel unsafe, call 911.

All evacuations and road closures have been lifted.

Firefighters continue to increase and strengthen containment line around the fire perimeter while mopping up and patrolling in other areas.

Evacuations: The residential areas of Pit One Powerhouse Rd, east to Barrett Ln. (Fall River Mills.)

Road Closures: Hwy 299E at Cassel Rd to 299 E. at Country Club Dr. in Fall River Mills (those residents who live off of Country Club Dr will be allowed to their homes.) and Hwy 299E at Glenburn Rd. to just south of 25345 Glenburn Rd.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the fire area through 11:00 p.m. Saturday, for hot, dry conditions and gusty winds.

Evacuations: Pit 1 Powerhouse Rd, Barret Ln, Country Club Dr, Little Lakes Dr, all residences from HWY 299E at Glenburn Rd to Brown Rd, Fort Crook Ave, Bridge St, to Long St and all residences along Long St. Evacuation shelter located at Adin Community Center 605 HWY 299E Adin, CA

Road Closures: HWY 299E, eastbound at Cassel Rd. HWY 299E westbound closure at Mechanic Rd and Glenburn Rd at Brown Rd. No estimated of time for reopening.

Firefighters continue an aggressive battle increasing and strengthening containment lines. Better visibility due to less smoky conditions allowed for more accurate mapping of the fire perimeter. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the fire area through 11:00 p.m. Saturday, for hot, dry conditions and gusty winds.

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect until 11 PM Saturday. Evacuations are in place. Pit One Power House is threatened as well as 60kV powerlines. Highway 299 is closed from Pit River to Fall River; Glenburn Road north to Gomez Road; and South of 299 to Pit River south at Glenburn Road.

Firefighters are working to gain containment while challenged by extremely active fire behavior.

Evacuations: HWY 299E from Pit 1 Grade to area of Glenburn Rd and all homes west of Glenburn Rd. Fall River Mills area.

Due to power outage in McArthur and surrounding areas, the evacuation center is moving to Adin Community Center.

Road Closures: HWY 299E, eastbound closure at Cassel Rd. Westbound closure at Main St. in Fall River Mills.

The fire is burning in brush and shrubs at a critical rate of spread.

SR 299E remains closed due to the #HatFire. Eastbound closure remains at Cassel Road. Westbound closure is now at Main Street in Fall River Mills. No ETO on highway reopening at this time.

EVACUATION ORDERS ISSUED FOR SR 299E from Pit 1 Grade to the area of Glenburn Road and all homes west of Glenburn Rd. Fall River Mills area. Evacuation center located at the Inter-Mountain Fairgrounds 44218 A St, Mcarthur, CA 96056, per Shasta County Sheriff.
