Damage assessment complete. Total of 5 residences and 23 outbuildings destroyed. Firefighters continue to strengthen control lines and patrol for hot spots.

The fire is burning in grasses oak woodland. Firefighters have been deploying aggressive air and ground strategies. The forward rate of spread has been stopped. Firefighters are focusing on building control lines around and strengthen the perimeter. Smoke is visible from Redding.
