Red Bank, Tehama-Glenn Unit, Cal Fire. IMT 1 (Cal Fire Team 5). Twenty-five miles west of Red Bluff, CA. Chaparral, brush and tall grass. Minimal fire behavior with creeping and smoldering. Residences and communications infrastructure threatened.

Today, firefighters are preparing for significant weather change that will last through Friday. Temperatures will be significantly hotter and drier with light winds from the north. Due to the remote location of the fire, approximately 60 firefighting crews will be transported by helicopter to further enhance fire suppression efforts continuing to close in on containment lines.
CAL FIRE IMT 5 is working in conjunction with the United States Forest Service and CIIMT 16 resources, and has assumed suppression responsibilities for State Responsibility Area land located south of Cottonwood Creek. The total number of resources stated above includes both Branch Ten of the South Fire and the Red Bank Fire incident.

The fire is located in remote, very steep, rocky terrain. Access to the fire area is slow and difficult due to narrow roads. All evacuation areas have been repopulated.

Acreage growth on the Red Bank Fire continues to hold. A cold front will pass through the area today, creating some afternoon and evening wind gusts over the region, which may challenge control lines. Conditions on the South Fire remain dynamic due to the amount of open fire line. CAL FIRE IMT 5 is working in conjunction with the United States Forest Service resources, and has assumed suppression responsibilities for State Responsible Area land located south of Cottonwood Creek. The total number of resources stated above includes both Branch Ten of the South Fire and the Red Bank Fire incident. Motorists should drive cautiously and always yield to emergency vehicles that are traveling on and off of the roads and highways. Fire danger remains elevated and everyone should continue to use extreme caution and refrain from daily activities that may spark a wildland fire.

No acreage growth today. Limited fire activity in all areas. Favorable fire weather conditions will continue Sunday night into Monday. Terrain and access will continue to challenge firefighting efforts. Our resources will also be assisting on the South Fire, which sits just to the west of the Red Bank Fire.
All mandatory evacuations and evacuation warnings have been lifted.

Evacuation Orders Lifted Effective Immediately
WHERE:
South of Highway 36 between Tedoc Road and Vestal Road
North of Vestal Road to the Four Corners intersection
NOTES: Mandatory evacuations are still in place for the areas including the fire perimeter areas and between the Shasta-Trinity National Forest and the Four Corners intersection, south of Vestal Road including the Petty John, Hammer Loop and Weemasoul Road areas.
Evacuation warning will remain in place for the greater Red Banks community located west of Joint Road and accessed from Bell Road.
REMINDER: Fire personnel are still active in the area. Please reduce speeds and drive with caution. Access will be limited to residents only, no other public access will be granted at this time.
The cancellation of additional evacuation orders is being evaluated based on a variety of factors, including potential fire behavior, and the reestablishment of crucial infrastructure.

The Red Bank Fire continues to burn west of Red Bluff. Firefighters will be fully engaged on the fire line today taking advantage of some favorable weather that brought cooler temperatures and higher humidities. Winds should be fairly light on Sunday. Although the humidities will be higher, the vegetation remains extremely dry and volatile. Terrain and access will continue to challenge firefighting efforts. Our resources will also be assisting on the South Fire, which sits just to the west of the Red Bank Fire.

There is a continued structure threat with mandatory evacuations for areas south of Hwy 36 between Tedoc Rd and Vestal Rd. There are evacuation warnings for portions of the Red Bank Community. Threat to communications infrastructure, Tomhead Lookout, Pattymocus Lookout and PG&E gas transmission lines.
