Additional dozers requested to reinforce and build fire line on the western side of the river. Fire activity has diminished and Air Attack estimates containment up to 50% on the now 400-acre fire.

Air Attack reports the east side of the fire, where firing operations took place to reinforce retardant lines, is looking good. More ground resources needed on the west side of the river, higher spotting potential in riparian fuels. CAL FIRE LNU is assisting Colusa Fire.

The fire has jumped the Sacramento River several times. 45 minutes ago, Colusa County Sheriff Department posted on their Facebook page: Colusa County Sheriff’s Office and Office of Emergency Services are aware of a fire in the Colusa area near the Sacramento River. Due to wind direction being unpredictable, law enforcement is providing notifications to area residents but not calling for an evacuation at this time. Local Fire Departments are actively attempting to gain control of the fire. The Emergency Operations Center has been activated and will attempt to keep the public updated.
