Sage, Los Angeles County Fire Department. One mile southwest of Santa Clarita, CA. Brush, chaparral and tall grass. Minimal fire behavior. Numerous residences threatened.

Latest update shows the Sage Fire at 1,109 acres and 20% contained.

Per Los Angeles County Sheriffs Dept: All evacuations for residents in Stevenson Ranch area of Unincorporated Los Angeles County have been lifted.  The residents that were affected by the “Sage Fire” are now able to return to their homes.

RESIDENTS ONLY with identification (ID) will be allowed re-entry.  No large vehicles will be allowed in at this time, including boats, trailers, and recreational vehicles (RVs).  Deputies will be checking identification for verification and will be conducting patrols in the area.

IC plans to repopulate all evacuated areas as of 9:30PM to residents only w/ID. No trailers, Boats or RV’s will be allowed. Evacuation center is at West Ranch HS 26255 W Valencia Blvd, Stevenson Ranch 91381.

California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Director Mark Ghilarducci this evening secured a Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help ensure the availability of vital public safety resources to suppress the Sage Fire burning in the Stevenson Ranch area of Los Angeles County. The FMAG also enables local, state and tribal agencies to recover eligible costs.
