Fire crews continue constructing fire line and strengthening current lines. Fire crews will continue these operations while patrolling and mopping up hot spots. All evacuation and road closures have been lifted, we are asking the public to please drive safely as fire crews and emergency personnel are still working in the area.

Cooling temps will aid in suppression efforts. Fire behavior is expected to be minimal again today. Demobilization of excess resources is ongoing.

Fire behavior was minimal through the day. All road closures in the fire area have been lifted. The Evacuation Warning along County Rd 41 and Hwy 16 remain in place. Repopulation continues where safely possible. Hwy 16 opened at 12:00 p.m. today. Please be aware of emergency vehicles in the fire area.

Evacuation orders were lifted at 5:00 p.m. on June 10 for resident re-population. Area is still under an advisory evacuation. Fire personnel are still active in the area

Evacuation center has been suspended due to a continued zero occupancy level. It can re-open if necessary.

Repopulation has begun where safely possible along County Rd 41. Portions of Hwy 16 and County Rd 41 remain closed.

Evacuation orders lifted for County Road 41 area. Area is still under an advisory evacuation, residents are allowed to return home. Effective 5:00 P.M. TODAY. Fire personnel are still active in the area. Please reduce speeds and drive with caution. ALL trails and footpaths in the fire perimeter are off-limits. The evacuation order will be lifted at 5:00 p.m. due to a variety of factors, please stay vigilant and aware of smoke and fire. If you see a fire that has not already been identified by emergency personnel, call 9-1-1.

The fire is estimated at 1,800 acres. Hwy 16 closed from hwy 20 to the town of Brooks.

Sacramento Fire is responding to the Sand Fire in Yolo County. Over 100 acres have burned off County Road 41 & Highway 16 in the Rumsey area.

Engine 343 & Engine 318 from the City are enroute.
