The Spring Fire is burning on the north-east side of Lake Thomas Edison, in the John Muir Wilderness. The fire was first reported on July 14th, burning in dead and downed trees.
No structures are threatened at this time and no road closures are in effect.
Visitors attending this weekend’s Huntington Lake Regatta are urged to use caution on the road and watch for fire equipment.
Smoke from the fire is drifting into Mono and Inyo counties. The smoke seems to be primarily drifting across McGee Pass, hikers are reporting.
