Wildomar, Cleveland NF. Five miles south of Lake Elsinore, CA. Chaparral and tall grass. Minimal fire behavior. Area and trail closures in effect.

The fire made no movement overnight and acreage remains unchanged. Efforts to strengthen containment lines around the southern and eastern perimeter helped achieve a higher containment percentage. Full containment is expected today. Though fire activity is expected to be minimal, residents can expect to see interior burning and drift smoke within the fire perimeter until all material is consumed.
Cal Fire and OCFA All Hazard Incident Management Team 3 will transition command of the fire back to Cleveland National Forest officials today at 10 a.m.
Wildomar OHV and campground will be closed for the foreseeable future. Repair work on the burn scar will begin within the next few weeks. Updates on repair work can be found on social media and the Cleveland National Forest website.

Night operations were able to add containment around the northern perimeter. Efforts will continue today to strengthen containment lines around the southern and eastern perimeter. Fire activity is expected to be minimal. Drift smoke is expected within the fire perimeter. Light winds at 5 to 8 mph and higher humidity levels will assist firefighting efforts. Fire equipment continues to be pulled and fire line repair work is being conducted around the northern and western side of the fire.
Repopulation of the La Cresta and Wildomar area began at 6:00 p.m., October 27. USFS and CAL FIRE Riverside remain in unified command. Recreation activities around the fire area are prohibited. Wildomar OHV and campground will be closed for the foreseeable future. Repair work on the burn scar will begin within the next few weeks.

The gated community of Bear Creek is under an Evacuation WARNING. An Evacuation ORDER has been issued. The area involved is west of Grand Avenue, north of Avenida La Cresta, and south of Calle De Lobo in the La Cresta Community. Additional streets in the La Cresta community include: Avenida Castilla, Via Caballos, Calle De Suenos, Sierra Maria Road, Vista Flora Road, Teich Lane, Valle Vista, Via Sevilla, Paseo De Flores and Paseo Chaparro.

The Wildomar Fire was reported at 12:32 pm in the Wildomar OHV area of the Trabuco Ranger District on the Cleveland National Forest. Heavy initial attack was ordered from Forest Services and Cal Fire resources and fire fighters aggressively battled in high temperatures to build a perimeter.
An evacuation warning has been issued for the Lakeland Village Community area west of Grand Avenue and north of McVicar Street and south of Akley Street in the Cites of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar due to the Wildomar Fire. Avoid Grand Avenue due to traffic and emergency vehicles. CNF Forest Road at the end of La Cresta remains closed.
Thick brush and dense fuels aided quick spread of the fire but cooler temperatures and light winds have enabled progress of containment to reach 15%. Favorable weather moving in on Friday and Saturday are expected to assist in containment. Command ICP will be relocating to Storm Stadium Friday morning. The fire entered unified command with Riverside Cal Fire today and a type 3 team was ordered to assume command of the fire.
