IC has declared the fire contained at 1 acre. Heavy mop-up operations are ongoing and eastbound I-80 has one lane traffic only.

Tanker 88 has been released by Air Attack and is returning to the Grass Valley Air Base.

First unit at scene reports approximately 1/2 acre of brush on fire near the Hwy 174 offramp on I-80. This is a big rig off the embankment.

The fire is now reported as off I-80 near the train tracks, vehicle over the embankment and fully involved.
