Crews worked throughout the night and made great progress. Crews are conducting mop-up operations.

CAL FIRE/Butte County Fire update: The fire was first reported within the CAL FIRE/Oroville Command Center monitoring the Alert Wildfire Cameras. A second report from Pike County Look Out helped with determining the exact location. Firefighters arrived at scene and initially reported 15 acres. The fire began to grow and create spot fires ahead of the main fire. The request for additional resources was made. The extra aircraft and ground forces were able to slow the forward progress of the fire within a couple of hours of initial report. Firefighters will remain at scene overnight and through out the day tomorrow working on containment and full control.

Avacado IC reports the fire is holding at approximately 75-100 acres. Both Large Air Tankers (LATs) have been diverted to a fire in Napa County near the 3000 block of Chiles Pope Valley Road, in Pope Valley.
