Forward progress of the fire has been stopped. Crew are strengthening containment lines and performing mop up and patrol. Steep difficult terrain is hampering the mop up efforts.

Latest update reports the fire at 100 acres and 50% contained. Forward spread of the fire has been stopped.

The fire is burning at a moderate rate of spread, on both sides of the river. Crews are on both sides Aircraft from the Eldorado and Tahoe National Forests are assisting. Structure protection is in place for several homes immediately threatened. Retardant drops are slowing the progression of the fire.
